Booking choice: The Moulin Rouge show, from $159 per person. Check dates Compare the options below
The Moulin Rouge has stood at 82 boulevard de Clichy since 1889. It plays two shows a night, and its current revue is called Féerie, lasting about 1 h 40 to 1 h 45. You can see the show on its own, usually with champagne, or come earlier for dinner first.
This guide compares the two tickets on this site, gives the show times and door times, quotes the official dress code, explains what to do about jeans and children, and answers the question people keep asking: is the Moulin Rouge closing?
The quick answer
There are two ways in: the show with half a bottle of champagne (from $159 on GetYourGuide) or dinner and the show (from $286). Shows are at 9 PM and a later show around 11 PM; dinner starts at 19:00. Doors open 1 h 15 before the show and close 10 minutes before it starts. Both tickets are non-refundable, the show includes nudity, and it is open from age 6 with an adult.

How much are Moulin Rouge tickets?
On GetYourGuide the show with champagne starts from $159 and the dinner show from $286, per person in USD.
The Paris tourist office lists dinner shows from €263 (Toulouse-Lautrec menu) and €299 (Belle Epoque menu), champagne included. The official Moulin Rouge pages load their prices dynamically, so we do not print an official show-only figure. Officially the choices are: the show with an optional half bottle of champagne or wine, a “Prestige” version with superior champagne, and dinner and show from 19:00.

Show only or dinner show: which should you book?
Book the show with champagne if you want the cabaret itself; book the dinner show if you want the whole evening in one place and the price does not worry you.
The show ticket is by far the most reviewed of the two, with 18,814 reviews. The dinner show adds a set-menu dinner and takes the evening to about 4 hours. It also has the stricter dress rules of the two listings, banning jeans as well as shorts and sportswear. If you would rather eat somewhere else on the hill first, the show ticket leaves you free to do that.

The Féerie show with half a bottle of champagne, service included. Non-refundable, so be sure of your date.
Explore the Moulin Rouge showWhat time is the Moulin Rouge show?
There are two shows a night: at 9 PM and a later show around 11 PM. Dinner starts at 19:00.
The official pages disagree slightly on the late show's start, which is why we write “around 11 PM”: check the time on your ticket. The Féerie show lasts about 1 h 40 to 1 h 45.
- Doors open: 1 h 15 min before the show.
- Doors close: 10 minutes before the show starts.
- Dinner: from 19:00, before the first show.
Arrive in good time: the official FAQ says the doors close before the start.
Can you wear jeans to the Moulin Rouge in Paris?
The official dress code is elegant; one ticket seller bans jeans, so leave them at the hotel.
The official FAQ says: “Elegant attire required (tie and jacket not mandatory): no shorts, no short-pants, no flipflops, no running shoes, no sportswear and no open shoes for Gentlemen.” It does not mention jeans. The GetYourGuide dinner-show listing does, though: it lists jeans under not allowed. Rather than argue at the door, wear smart trousers or a dress and proper shoes.

Dinner, champagne and the show in one evening, if you have the smart outfit ready.
Check dates for the Moulin Rouge dinner showCan you get a refund on Moulin Rouge tickets?
No. Both Moulin Rouge tickets on GetYourGuide are non-refundable.
The listing pages say it in so many words: “This activity is non-refundable.” That applies to the show with champagne and to the dinner show. Every walk, tasting and the museum ticket on this site has free cancellation up to 24 hours before, which makes the Moulin Rouge the one booking to make only once your dates are fixed.
If plans might still change, book your walks first and the Moulin Rouge last. Double-check the date, the show time (9 PM or the later show) and the number of guests before you pay, because a mistake cannot be undone with a cancellation.
Is the Moulin Rouge suitable for children?
From age 6, with an adult. The show includes nudity, so decide for your own family.
Photographing or filming the show is forbidden, so phones stay in pockets. For a family day on the hill that ends earlier, the highlights walk and the free basilica work for all ages; the walking tours guide compares the options.

Why is the Moulin Rouge closing?
It is not, as far as any source we found says. What closed was “Moulin Rouge! The Musical” on Broadway in New York.
The musical gave its final performance at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre on 26 July 2026, after more than 2,265 performances. The question very likely mixes the two up. The cabaret on boulevard de Clichy, open since 1889, still lists two shows a night on its own site.
So if a headline or a search result tells you the Moulin Rouge is closing, check which one it means. The Broadway musical shares its name with the Paris cabaret, but the windmill, the Féerie revue and the champagne are all still in Montmartre.
Still on, two shows a night: the Féerie show with champagne.
Check dates for the Moulin Rouge showIs the Moulin Rouge in Montmartre?
Yes, it is part of the Montmartre visit: 82 boulevard de Clichy, about 1.1 km on foot from the Sacré-Cœur, roughly 15 minutes.
Coming down from the basilica after a day on the hill is easy, and the walk is downhill. Toulouse-Lautrec, whose name is on one of the dinner menus, is one of the artists of the neighbourhood: their story is in the Montmartre artists guide. For more walking distances, see the funicular and stairs guide.
